Muay Thai Kickboxing for Effective Combat
In the US, Muay Thai Kickboxing is a term used to refer to a combination of Karate and boxing, where opponents are restricted to fighting using only their hands and feet.
However, when you close over to South East Asia, the term is used quite loosely.
In Thailand and Singapore, kickboxing refers to Muay Thai, a martial arts that has its origins in Thailand but has increasingly become popular in many South Asian countries including Singapore.

Your Action Plan
One of the things we help you do when you sign up for our Muay Thai training program is develop a solid action plan that will help you reach your goals.
Ideally, we use the following criteria to help you develop an action plan:
- Set your personal goals
Determine what your goals are. What are you looking to achieve from our Muay Thai Kickboxing program?
- Find the right class and personal trainer
Finding the right trainers and Muay Thai gym to train from will determine how well you reach your goals. Fortunately, with our Muay Thai training program, you do not have to look any further.
- Keep within your limits
When training in Muay Thai Kickboxing, you need to take it slow but sure. We encourage you to share your strengths and weaknesses so that we can help you get the best out of your training.
If you think that Muay Thai may aggravate a condition that you have, we encourage you to first talk to your doctor to find out if you should really join our training program.
- Gear up
Although our Muay Thai gyms provide you with kickboxing gear, we encourage you to purchase your own gear eventually. Some of the gear you may need include shin guards, ankle support and headgear. A towel will also come in handy when you start sparring.
- Eating properly
What you eat before your training and after training is influential on your performance in the gym.
Before you start your Muay Thai sessions, we recommend that you fuel up on carbohydrates and other foods that are slow to digest.
Carbohydrates are a great source of energy and eating lots of them before your sessions will give you the energy you need in the gym.
It is also important that you drink enough water after the training to ensure that you stay hydrated.
We can help you develop a full action plan that is specific to you. What we share here in our website is a small part of our expertise in Muay Thai Kickboxing.
